Established in 2003 and is a 60-acre site that includes the Plains End Power Plant. The 2032-acre Northwest Arvada Urban Renewal Area was created in 2010.
The property taxes generated from this project are financing the infrastructure improvements of the area including roads, water, drainage, sewer, power, open space, trails, and public parks. The Candelas development is located within the Northwest Arvada Urban Renewal Area.
