The goal is to restore and permanently display the .04 Trolley in Arvada just east of the Grandview Bridge Along Grandview Avenue. This location is very close to the original trolley junction and rail line, providing for historic interpretation for the trolley. We are currently in the site design stage for this historical asset to our community, anticipating to be complete by fall 2022.
The .04 Trolley operated between downtown Denver, Arvada, Leyden and Golden from 1902 to 1950 and has sat idle for 60 years. The trolley was the last car to operate for Denver’s Tramway fleet, having left Arvada and arriving in Denver just after midnight on July 4, 1950, and is one of the last cars remaining. In 2014, it was added to the Colorado Most Endangered Places List by Colorado Preservation, Inc
