AURA is working on improvements to streetscape along Independence Street. This includes landscaping, lighting, and sidewalk improvements to create a safer and more welcoming environment for people walking in the area.

This project builds off past streetscape improvements along Ralston Road & 58th Avenue and upcoming sidewalk improvements to address the “gap” at 58th Avenue and Independence Street, creating a consistent feel and look in the area. 

Design is underway with construction anticipated in 2027. Check out the images to see what the “gap” area looks like currently.
